Note for Eligible
Family Members:
If you are an eligible family member
(EFM), you do not need a work permit and are eligible
to apply for all Mission Germany local positions.
An EFM is a family member at least age 18 listed
on the travel orders of a Foreign
or Civil Service or uniformed service member permanently
assigned to or stationed at a U.S. Foreign Service
post or establishment abroad with a U.S. government
agency that is under Chief of Mission authority
(not under the Status of Forces Agreement).
Note for U.S. Citizen
and Resident Alien Males:
To be eligible for a job in the Executive Branch
of the Federal Government men must be in compliance
with the Military Selective Service Act as amended.
This applies to U.S. citizen and resident alien
males born after December 31, 1959. Therefore, social
security account number and date of birth must be
included in the application.
